14-Year-Old’s Top 14 excuses for not getting out of bed to go to school in the morning:
I feel sick.
I’m too tired to go to school, I’ll just fall asleep and how respectful will that look?
I didn’t get to sleep until 2 in the morning.
Did you wash my jeans? I only have one pair, and they’re too dirty to wear.
We have a class trip and I didn’t get a permission slip.
My chest is on fire.
I feel really, really, really sick.
What? You can’t have the thermometer, it has too many germs on it.
I opened my eyes and I only saw green—I need to see the eye doctor today.
I’m scared of that guy who doesn’t go my school any more.
I feel too dizzy, and I haven’t even gotten up yet.
My alarm clock does so work. It isn’t time to get up yet.
You must have poisoned me with dinner last night. I was up all night eating TUMS.

I think I pulled something in my back at the studio last night.
I had too many walls to write on.
Someone needed my help on one of my Facebook groups—I couldn’t say no.
I have nothing to wear.
Isn’t my finger still broken? I can’t do modern with a broken finger.

6-Year-Old’s Top 4 excuses for not getting out of bed to go to school in the morning:
I’m still watching a video in my dweam—come back later.
Can I have bweakfast first?
I hope I have my spelling test today—do I still get a B•Damon if I get all of them right?
Give me a back scratch first.
